The greater Cape Town area has some of the best bird hides in the Western Cape, starting from the Cape West Coast side, Geelbek bird hide in West Coast National park is a great bird hide, nearer to Cape Town, Rietvlei wetland nature reserve has a bird hide. Intaka at Century city also has a bird hide , which can be good for Pied kingfishers. Rondevlei on the other side of the Peninsula , in the False bay nature reserve, has quite a few excellent bird hides. Most of these bird hides are listed on Google maps, so let your fingers do the walking and enjoy some of Cape Town’s best bird hides.
