The Cape’s remarkable Fynbos biome is one of the world’s great birding treasures, home to six endemic species found nowhere else on Earth. The Victorin’s Warbler is the ultimate challenge. Preferring dense vegetation on steep, south‑facing slopes, this secretive bird is more often heard than seen. Patient observers are rewarded with one of the most memorable sightings the fynbos has to offer.
Completing the set is the unforgettable Cape Rockjumper. With its striking plumage, powerful song, and charismatic behaviour, it is often the highlight of any Cape birding trip. Found in high‑altitude, rocky terrain, this mountain specialist perfectly embodies the wild spirit of the fynbos.
